Amanda Neira - MMT, MT-BC

 

Founder of Coachella Valley Music Therapy. She graduated with a Bachelors in Music Therapy from Western Illinois University and her Masters in Music Therapy at Maryville University. She has worked in acute psych at Oasis Rehabilitation Center, in assisted living at Provision Living and in public schools at Special School District of Saint Louis.

 

In undergrand Amanda was a percussion major and likes to bring a lot of those skills and abilities into her practice. She feels that drumming provides a great outlet for people to express themselves non verbally along with having fun in the process.

 

Born and raised in Iowa (Go Hawks!) Amanda fell in love with the desert while living there during her internship at Oasis. Some of her favorite desert activities are hiking, going to Joshua Tree and line dancing on Tuesday nights at Jackalope Ranch!
